Start of 2017 Spring Season

Etre Winterweb
Open Gardens SA’s new spring season starts on Sunday, August 27. The South Australian open gardens program will relaunch in just a few short weeks with more than 30 gardens expected to open this spring.

Open Gardens SA is looking forward to opening the gates of some of the state’s most spectacular private gardens as its third spring program gets underway.

While the majority of garden openings will start in the traditional month of September, the first garden to open will be the special winter opening of Etre Garden at Willunga as it continues its series showcase, with special openings across all the seasons. The winter opening will be the third in the series, and follows spectacular openings in summer and autumn. The Etre spring opening will also be part of the new program on November 18 and 19.

Gardens will open across the state and include the Mount Gambier, Eyre Peninsula and Kangaroo Island regions, as well as many throughout the Adelaide Hills and Metropolitan Area. More than half of the gardens in this year’s spring calendar are new to the program.

Open Gardens SA is a not-for-profit organization which launched mid-2015 and has since helped to raise more than $300,000 for charities. The last two seasons attracted approximately 50,000 visitors.
